Harm reduction is an ethical strategy and practice that is to lessen the negative outcomes of many things and in relation to this documentary it’s drug use. Harm reduction is also a social justice movement grounded in a deep respect for the rights of people who use drugs.
In a collaborative effort to bring awareness and discussions around altered states or substance use, harm reduction, systemic navigation, communities united, and overdose prevention centers or safe-use sites, LB Harm Redux and PECC organized a screening tour of the documentary Love in the Time of Fentanyl.
With permission from the director, Colin Askey, screenings will be held at various locations in Long Beach. Read more about Love in the Time of Fentanyl
The first screening is hosted by the kindness of 7th St Collective on Sunday, March 31st. RSVP and masks required.
Check back for more information on additional screenings, including a larger screening at Art Theatre of Long Beach at the end of June.
